Past Projects

Cloud based Data integration platform

  • Co-Lead a data integration platform rewrite where the platform in its entirety was redesigned to be better integrated with Azure Vnet and more secure.
This was done by using microsoft’s own bicep module library as a start of point and refining it to suit the needs of the platform. Then using Azure Container registry to make the modules easily available to our developers. Then working alongside developers to best use this library and help them navigate the rigid security policy in place

Low Code Solutions

  • Worked as a solution architect and developer for an onboarding process leveraging Microsoft’s power platform and other low code platforms.
  • Built an app and power automate flows that gathered and delivered data to our data integration platform. Working along side 2 other teams involved in different processes of the project

Code review integration

  • Lead a project to integrate codeReview software into all build and PR pipelines on our DevOps platform. Creating an Azure function running a python script to automatically keep track of repos added to devops and manage SonarQube projects.
Also working with different teams of developers to both integrate SQ into every build pipeline and use the information presented in SQ effectively

Server Monitoring and Administration

  • Worked on a project integrating server and web monitoring software to monitor and report uptime and stability on a large Infrastructure landscape

Canteen solution written in node running on docker

  • Developed and launched a canteen solution so employees could register purchases with their ID card. Leveraging NodeJs and docker containers.
A raspberry Pi was used by the client. Users and products were maintained in a database that was loaded by the webapp making changes instant.
The purchases were then sent to the billing department in a format useful to them. This solution has since been updated by me and is still in use to this day even after my departure from the company

Bachelor Project

  • Wrote about the human problem within IT and how to solve it. How we ignore human error within IT systems and how that can cause huge problems. Focusing on security, risk assessment and analysis as well as system design. Read more on here!

Full stack projects

  • Have designed and written several full stack solutions that have gone into and still are in production. These are mostly webapps written in vanilla javascript/typescript or using frameworks like Svelt. These are mostly internal solutions focusing on access to data and enrichment of said data

This website

  • This website is written in Svelte and uses Sveltekit on Vercel.

On a more personal note

A man of many jobs 👷 👨‍🏭 🧑‍🔧 🧑‍💼

I have worked a lot of jobs in my life. Of this I am proud. I have worked at cafes, poured concrete and mixed A1 jet fuel for Keflavík International airport. These experiences helped me become who I am today and have left me with a good work ethic and will and skill to learn quickly.

Music 🎸

I love music. Singing it, playing it, listening to it or going to concerts. I have been in many bands since I learned to hammer on some frets and have produced a moderate amount of music of debatable quality. The stage has always been a bit of a frightful place for me but I yearn for it every time I leave.

I have worked a lot behind the stage as well. At the university I got into Kroa I Bø and ended up working as a stage tech at festivals whilst studying. Working at Kroa was a fantastic experience and the people I met there are some of my closest friends to this day.

Through Kroa I got to work with and meet some of the biggest artists in Norway like Karpe with their round stage concept in 2019. working lights or sound, coiling cables, fixing lights and lugging gear might sound boring, but I look back at those memories and smile.

Gamer 👾

I have been an avid gamer for most of my life. It all started when my step dad came up from the garage with something called a nintendo entertainment system. I blew the dust off the beige box and plugged it into my tiny 11” CRT-TV that was extra cool because it had an integrated VHS player in it. And booted up Super Mario Bros 3. (after getting instructions from my stepdad to blow into the cartridge when it did not work).

Man what a game! Since then I have moved on from Nintendo but gaming has always been a part of my life. I think its a wonderful expression of creativity from the makers and creates a sense of community and accomplishment for the players.

Figuring out a puzzle in a game or making the effort to get good at another really motivates me and so many others. I Have always sought this kind of community within gaming. Whether it’s setting up a LAN at my university, hosting a monthly meet and play with the student organization i started along with some fellow students, or being part of the office CounterStrike team. I think gaming brings us together, strengthens teamwork and builds bonds that sometimes last a lifetime.
